Mount Sunapee’s expansion plans have been reportedly approved. The mountain resort, currently operated by Vail Resorts, looks to expand ski-able terrain on the mountain’s “west bowl”. The expansion includes 150 acres of new terrain, new lodges, and new lift service to the expanded area.
With the expansion included, Mount Sunapee would be behind only Bretton Woods, Loon, and Cannon for the largest ski resort in New Hampshire. The plan has seen both praise and criticism from locals. No word on a start date for the project.
