First Winter Storm of 25/26 Season

A winter storm is set to move into New England on Tuesday, bringing with it up to a foot of fresh snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for a significant portion of the area, with the expectation of at least 6 inches of snow.

Snow will begin falling early Tuesday morning as lightly scattered snow showers, but then quickly picking up for the afternoon, with over 1 inch per hour snow rates expected.

Once the storm wraps up, most of New England’s ski resorts will have several inches of fresh snow to help get the new ski season going.

Although it’s not as big as some December storms we’ve seen in the past, this is a good start after having several slow starts to the season over the past few years.

Check our snow conditions page Wednesday to see which resort got the most.

Enjoy the snow! -AJ
