Big Moose Mountain formally known as Big Squaw Mountain, is a ski area located in Greenville, ME. Big Squaw mountain was open from 1963-2010 before it was later reopened in 2013 and recently renamed to Big Moose Mountain. The resort overlooks Moosehead Lake, which is the largest in the state of Maine. It also has views of Mount Katahdin which is approximately 50 miles northeast of the ski area.
